    SUNDAY 1.30-4.30pm

    This workshop is an introduction to the ancient, creative and sustainable process of wet felt making. Fibre to fabulous artwork. You will be shown the technique of wet felt making using a range of wool fibres. Suggested themes will be explored to inspire your piece. You will then create your own unique felt image, approximately 15cm x 15cm. Various examples of detail and embellishment will be shown, with the opportunity to explore some of these. Suitable for all abilities.

     

    Roz Barker is an artist and teacher with a keen interest in all things creative. Her background is as an art and textiles teacher who loves inspiring others creativity. She now creates her own work in a variety of visual arts, takes commissions and offers a range of felt making workshops. Roz describes her felt pictures as ‘painting with felt’, it is such an expressive material. She has a particular passion for wool as a medium as her parents bred rare breed sheep, she loves incorporating naturally coloured fibres. Feltmaking is both a sustainable and versatile creative process.
