Spinning: Drop Spindle - Learn to Spin the ancient way

Learn how to spin wool the ancient way using a hand spindle. This ancient tool has been used for many thousands of years and is still a popular and fun way to spin yarn. In this workshop you will learn how to use a hand spindle to make your own lovely yarn and included in the price is a spindle and fibre kit to take home so you can carry on spinning.
Jean Fenton is a local textile artist and tutor living on Dartmoor. She  uses local fleece and promotes working with wool to educate and facilitate all kinds of traditional crafts and creative skills. Sheep fleece has been important in the South West since ancient times and is a unique and amazing material to work with.
